Jennifer Garner


Jennifer Anne Affleck, known professionally as Jennifer Garner, is an American actress. Garner was born on April 17, 1972 in Houston, Texas, the daughter of Patricia Ann, an English teacher from Oklahoma, and William John Garner, a chemical engineer who worked for Union Carbide in Texas.
Started ballerina dance when she was 3 years old, practicing for up to six hours a day. Jenifer earned a theater degree from Ohio's Denison University. After college, Garner moved to New York and began auditioning for stage roles, landing her first part only a month after arriving in town in 1995 as an understudy in the Broadway production of A Month in the Country.


Impressed by her acting, Felicity cocreator J.J. Abrams seeks Garner to play the prime role of grad student-turned-CIA agent Sydney Bristow in Alias. "She has this spark," Abrams says to PEOPLE. "It was clear she was the one." PEOPLE critic Terry Kelleher says Garner "has an appeal that transcends implausibility." She has also appeared in a handful of movies, including Daredevil, 13 Going On 30 and Elektra. Meanwhile, she married Affleck in 2005 and went on to have two daughters with her Oscar-winning hubby.

Jennifer Garner and Ben Affleck welcomed their second daughter.Their baby was born january 7, 2009, Tuesday, in Los Angeles at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center. The couple is already parents to Violet, who is three years old, and rivals both Shiloh Jolie-Pitt and Suri Cruise for the title of cutest little baby girl in all of Hollywood.

Jennifer says that she and her husband Ben Affleck refuse to walk the red carpet together, because they don't want to encourage attracting any attention to themselves as a "Hollywood couple."
