X-Men Origins features Wolverine as an upcoming superhero film inspired by the Marvel Comics mutant character Wolverine. The movie will hit the box office on May 1, 2009. Gavin Hood directs the film which stars Hugh Jackman as the main character. X-Men Origins is the prequel to the X-Men film trilogy, retracing mutant Wolverine and his adventures with Team X, before his skeleton was bonded with the indestructible metal adamantium.
